Practice project – Conventional Western

Our film is set in an isolated town which is peaceful, and this is disturbed when unfamiliar faces appear. From there events take a violent turn where shoot-outs and murders are becoming more frequent. Eventually an innocent young lady is kidnapped, and only the sheriff can rescue her and put things right.

Our story begins with a mysterious, silent individual who meets his accomplices and heads for the bar, where trouble begins. This is where we meet our hero who rises up to the newcomers.

Our conventional key ideas, were based on stereotypical characters like the hero who is brave and willing to face danger, whereas the villain is silent and mysterious. We plan to use typical shots for a western film, for example, long shots of the surrounding area, close ups of faces and mid shots of people. Our other idea was to use stereotypical costumes, like the cowboy hat and shirts.
